The main components are maintenance port, coal injection nozzle, trolley, observation hole, kiln hood, etc.

2. Function of kiln head

In addition to the main components, the kiln head generally refers to the material cooling (grate cooler), waste gas treatment, etc. The high temperature section of the cooling air is recycled as secondary air to support the kiln combustion. The secondary high temperature section is recycled as the tertiary air, which goes to the kiln end through the tertiary air pipe to support the combustion at the kiln end.

Kiln head cover is an important part of rotary kiln. Its function is to gather the clinker temperature in the production operation, imitate the clinker overflow, and under the function of exhaust fan, send the hot air from the cooler into the kiln through the kiln head cover, so as to make full use of waste heat and reduce heat consumption.

Cracks are not allowed at the entrance and exit of rotary kiln, which will affect air leakage, air inlet, ash leakage and heat loss. Therefore, the closed device of kiln head can effectively prevent air leakage, air inlet and ash leakage of rotary kiln.

The kiln tail is also an important part of the rotary kiln, including preheater and calciner. The shape of the feed end is similar to the cover of a rotary kiln, which is mainly responsible for feeding and sealing.

2. Kiln tail effect

The kiln tail of rotary kiln generally refers to the preheater and calciner. Materials enter from the kiln tail. The main function of the kiln tail is to preheat and pre decompose the raw powder. Generally, the decomposition rate into the kiln is more than 92%. The decomposition process is an endothermic process, and the calcination in the kiln itself will release a certain amount of heat. In addition, the characteristics of heat dissipation and section burning system are required. Generally, the ratio of coal feeding at kiln head and kiln tail is 4:6.

What are the heating methods of rotary kiln and how to choose them

The important point is that the cement rotary kiln operates slowly by means of heating. There are many kinds of heating methods. The suitable heating methods are electric heating, gas, fuel oil, coal, etc. to make clear this point, we can choose the fuel according to the resources of the surrounding environment, which can save a lot of cost.

The raw meal powder is fed into the kiln from the top of the kiln. Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the kiln, the material will roll along the circumference and move from the high temperature to the low end along the axis. The raw meal will be discharged from the bottom of the kiln through the process of decomposition and firing in the kiln and then discharged into the cooler.

The fuel is injected from the kiln head and burned in the kiln. The heat generated heats the raw meal and makes it calcined into clinker. The hot air formed in the process of material exchange enters the kiln system at the kiln feed end and then is discharged into the atmosphere from the chimney.
